Attitude of Gratitude

People often discuss about the right attitude that will lead them to success but the point is what is our ultimate requirement, whether it is success or happiness and satisfaction. Our goals and targets keep on changing, we are constantly running on new paths and reach new destinations. These goals are sometimes short term and sometimes long term but the fact is we crave for the happiness that comes after each of our achievement.

But the fact is, in the vicious circle of our social responsibilities these achievements have completely converted into material achievements, we grade our success on the scale of material world, whether I have a hatchback or sedan, a Timex or Rolex, things are still better but how we can let it be, we made it worse by changing our scale of material world directly proportional to what other have. Now condition is if he has sedan I should also have, more worse if he has Timex I should at least have Rolex.

WHY? Why we had changed our frame of reference, why we always see things from other higher side and attract negativity, getting motivated with any material is good but linking our achievements to that material is bad. Doing this we are limiting our caliber and reducing our chances of happiness.

There is one other lower side too which has seen their things in your frame of reference and made things worse. Now changing the scenario and looking them (the other lower side) in your frame of reference, you will feel that they are deprived of material that you have in excess. This doesn’t mean that you have enough and you should stop working but you should not whine seeing you in other higher side frame of reference.

Now comes the Attitude of Gratitude

Feeling grateful for everything that you have

If you are grateful for everything that you have then it is assured that you are satisfied with your current achievements and running on a path of new destination but with happiness instead of whining for what you don’t have.
